O Neal

O'Neal blueberries have been planted extensively in California, Chile and Argentina, and is still a leading variety in its home state of North Carolina. Recently, the popularity of the O'Neal blueberry has waned as newer varieties have been introduced. Good cultural practices are needed for optimum performance of O'Neal blueberries.

Star

Star is an early ripening, low-mid chill variety from the University of Georgia. It is noted for its high yields (slightly higher than Star), easy picking, and uniform appearance. The variety is licensed and protected by Fall Creek. We grow Suziblue in substrate and covered tunnels to get the earliest production. The fruit is firm, with mild flavor and medium to large size. Star Picking Season: Mid May - Early June

Legacy

Legacy blueberries are a highly adaptable variety for both fresh and process sales. This variety tends to be a little slower to produce in the first few years, however, yields can be very high once the plants become established. Legacy blueberries have received good reviews for its fruit quality, small scar and flavor. Mechanical harvest suitability is good. In many areas, the Legacy blueberry will keep its leaves through most of the winter, and may require a different approach with pruning, often at a higher cost than many other northern varieties.

Miss Jackie

A release from the University of Georgia. Miss Jackie™ ‘TH-917’ blueberries have large, firm, high quality fruit and could be a possible Camellia companion. Compared to Camellia, the Miss Jackie™ 'TH-917' blueberry can be easier to manage due to its better leafing. Miss Jackie™ 'TH-917' blueberries ripen later than Star, Emerald, and Jewel, filling a seasonal production gap.
